General

Work will continue on the bunkers over the coming months replenishing with new sand where required and the loose sand off the walls pulled back into the bunker bases.

The bare areas on the fairways where the water table was laying for long periods are recovering naturally. These areas will be monitored closely after being fertilised. Any area that does not look like recovering will be verti drained and over sown.

Trees have been planted in selected areas around the course to replace trees that have either died or have been removed. Also some trees have been planted in areas for safety reasons e.g. between the 6th and 7th fairways. The trees planted are a mixture of native tree that have been grown from seed from trees around the course by Reg Carr, also thank you to Glenda Wardlaw for donating the fast growing Eucalyptus nitens.

The following trees are to be scheduled for removal for safety reasons. The leaning gum tree over the walkway to the 8th tee, the dead tree adjacent to the 12th tee and gum tree over hanging the 10th men?s tee.

The greens are being verti groomed weekly at present. This is to help thin out the surface grass and eliminate too much thatch, this will also help firm the surface of the greens.

Other maintenance works that will be carried out are repairs to the three walk over bridges on the western practice fairway. Also the repairs to the bridge over the 3rd dam.

Greens renovations will be taking place on March 1st & 2nd this will involve coring and thatch removal then a medium top-dress. The tees and fairways renovations will follow on after the greens. All renovations will be completed before Easter.
